What Does Your Visa Status Result Mean?
Your visa status means the current state of your visa. Here are all the status results explained:
Valid
Your visa is active. Check the expiry date and plan your renewal before it ends.
Expired
The visa period has ended, but the file was not cancelled. Contact your sponsor about renewal.
Cancelled
The file was closed by your sponsor or by the system. Confirm the details with your sponsor or employer.
Under process
Your application is still being reviewed. Wait and check again later.
No Record Found
It means that the system found no matching file.
What to Do If No Record Is Found?
A “no record found” result on a UAE visa status check doesn’t mean your visa is invalid. It only means the search didn’t match a file. Follow these steps:

You may face problems during the UAE visa status check online. Don’t worry, I have provided simple solutions to these common issues. Follow the given solutions:
Wrong Portal
Solution: The most common reason for a failed visa status check is using the wrong portal. Dubai visas show only on GDRFA Dubai, and visas from Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, RAK, Fujairah and UAQ show only on ICP. A “no record” result simply mean your file is in the other system.
Details Don’t Match
Solution: A small typing mistake can stop the search. Re-enter your passport number, nationality, and date of birth carefully. Use the passport you applied with. If you have a new passport, your visa may still be linked to the old number. Try your file number instead, or ask your sponsor to confirm the record.
Wrong Cancelled Status
Solution: Cancellation is filed by your sponsor or employer, not by you. Ask them first whether a cancellation was submitted. Then run the check again to confirm the result. If the status still looks wrong, contact ICP or GDRFA directly.
Stuck on “Under Process”
Solution: This means the application is still under review. Check again after some time. For a Dubai application, track it with your application number on GDRFA. If the status doesn’t change, ask your sponsor or a typing center to follow up.
